The Crossfit (www.crossfit.com) program or approach to fitness includes many exercises and skills derived from gymnastics. Although the broad base of exercises that are incorporated into Crossfit WOD's (workout of the day) are a very good thing (crossfit is meant to be broad, general, and inclusive) it does take time to develop a minimum level of proficiency with all of the different skills to ensure workouts can achieve a high level of performance and the intensity that Crossfit demands.
